This was probably the hardest character design I've ever done. I think what made it harder for me is the fact that I've never drawn in a Tim Burton style before. So...yeah, there are a couple of anatomy problems and other little issues here and there.
When doing this, these were a couple of things I had to consider: Erik's Mask: This was difficult because if TB did consider doing a POTO movie, what mask would be the best for the Phantom? I'm still deciding what mask would be better. Head structure: The way I did Erik's head, I looked at some pics from Nightmare Before X-Mas and Corpse Bride. I had to make sure that the head can be 3-dimensional. I'm not sure if I got that right in this, though. So whadya guys think? Like? Love? Bleh? Why is it illegal to park in a handicapped parking space but its ok to use a handicapped toilet?
